Michael & Tinysha's wedding was so beautiful at the Sunol Valley Golf Club. We arrived to perfectly blue skies although a little windy. The ceremony was moving especially with the bridesmaid's surprise of a butterfly release! We had hopes of some sunset photographs but the fog decided to roll in and instead we go some dramatic cloudy skies.
Sanjani and Ravi are SO in love and they are just so easy going and sweet too! This session started out with a civil ceremony at San Francisco City Hall (their "official" wedding will be at Ruby Hill Golf Club in July) and then ended up in the Union Square area. As you can see, they are so cute together...I can't wait for their wedding!
There's just something about the energy of a wedding in downtown San Francisco that just makes everything so much more exciting. Jen and Jacob were cool, calm and collected while maintaining their glamour and excitement. I still get goosebumps when I think about their wedding!
The Book - From Ending to New Beginnings
Community Art Project Supports Students, Community, and Local Charities
Anna Vickroy and ultra-spective photography have completed an extensive community art project that examines the graduating class of 2009 in the San Francisco Bay Area and the impact they will have on our culture. This photographic essay observes who these individuals are, what they believe will change their future for the better, and how they will lead our tomorrow.
“From Endings to New Beginnings” has been published and is due for release on May 29th, 2009. Panama Red Coffee Company in downtown Livermore, CA will host our celebration of the graduating youth, the impact they will have on our community, and the possibilities they hold within them. Event will be held from 5:30pm to 8:30pm and music by Bones & Quigley will start at 8:00pm.
In addition to celebrating this generation and our future, we are also looking to change the present by inviting everyone to contribute ideas of how to make changes for the better within our community, country, or world. These ideas will be compiled and set to local, state, and national agencies for consideration.
A $30 contribution will be made to charity with every $40 purchase of ‘From Endings to New Beginnings’. Students observed in the book will have the opportunity to determine where funds are donated. All additional donations will be donated to Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep.
This portrait session is of a mother and her eldest son. This is a special moment in their lives because he is on his way to serve our country by joining the Marines. When I went to their home, I felt as if I knew them given the decades of the portraits that decorated their home. This portrait session was particularly near and dear to my heart because as a mother of two little boys, I can imagine what it may feel like when my little boys grow into young men and launch their own life. You'll notice that they had a flour fight...wholly their idea and it was SO much fun!!!
Josh and Amanda are just sexy...and these photographs prove just that! Their wedding at The NInes at Brentwood Golf Club was elegant and unique! They are so in love with each other and have such a special relationship with their family. It really was an honor to photograph this special day ; )
Mike and Sarah were married April 18th, 2009 at the Ruby Hill Golf Club in Pleasanton, Ca. Their wedding was so beautiful and also fun! Sarah was glowing and sensitive...Mike was very strong and caring. I loved photographing their friends and family...especially Sarah's cousins! Thanks to Mike and Sarah for trusting me to photograph your special day! Here's a few of my favorite images!
Anyone who knows Jon & Kristin knows they have the most AWESOME sense of humor ever! I think it was late 2005 when I first met Jon & Kristin when they commissioned ultra-spective to photograph their wedding. We photographed their engagement session at Baker Beach in March 2006 and they got married in September 2006. I am certainly blessed to see them again in March 2009 with the addition of their son, Jackson! And since they signed up for the Forever My Baby program, I am fortunate to be able to continue to watch their family grow! I seriously realize that I have the best job ever!
Thank you Jon and Kristin for trusting us to capture your family's most cherished milestones...and also for making me laugh and cry all at the same time : )
ultra-spective teamed up with Anita's Salon to create glamourous portraits reminiscent of the 1920s, 1930s, 1940s or 1950s!
Anita's Salon will be hosting a one-of-a-kind Calendar Girl event to be announced shortly so stay tuned!
The energy was through the roof on the day was filmed the commercial for our senior portrait work!!! The crazy thing about it was that the energy was so high for the entire day, that at the end of the day we were all numb! It started with the talented make-up and hair stylist, Marlena...she glammed up everyone and boosted the confidence levels. Sabrina and Paula, new interns with the ultra crew made sure everything on the photo side was running smoothly and gave 110% to make it happen. Most of the photos taken behind the scenes were taken by Sabrina and Paula! Plus let me say that Sabrina is the LIGHT goddess and Paula can read my mind. The film crew Jason, Perry and Matthew worked a lot harder and faster than usually given the fast pace of ultraspective photoshoot and they pushed their boundaries for us! The collaboration pushed the energy levels even higher. Then last but not least, the model seniors were patient, made us laugh, and kept everyone inspired to do their best. Thank you so much to everyone that made this such an amazingly fun experience.
