Sanjani and Ravi are SO in love and they are just so easy going and sweet too! This session started out with a civil ceremony at San Francisco City Hall (their "official" wedding will be at Ruby Hill Golf Club in July) and then ended up in the Union Square area. As you can see, they are so cute together...I can't wait for their wedding!
This portrait session is of a mother and her eldest son. This is a special moment in their lives because he is on his way to serve our country by joining the Marines. When I went to their home, I felt as if I knew them given the decades of the portraits that decorated their home. This portrait session was particularly near and dear to my heart because as a mother of two little boys, I can imagine what it may feel like when my little boys grow into young men and launch their own life. You'll notice that they had a flour fight...wholly their idea and it was SO much fun!!!
Anyone who knows Jon & Kristin knows they have the most AWESOME sense of humor ever! I think it was late 2005 when I first met Jon & Kristin when they commissioned ultra-spective to photograph their wedding. We photographed their engagement session at Baker Beach in March 2006 and they got married in September 2006. I am certainly blessed to see them again in March 2009 with the addition of their son, Jackson! And since they signed up for the Forever My Baby program, I am fortunate to be able to continue to watch their family grow! I seriously realize that I have the best job ever!
Thank you Jon and Kristin for trusting us to capture your family's most cherished milestones...and also for making me laugh and cry all at the same time : )
ultra-spective teamed up with Anita's Salon to create glamourous portraits reminiscent of the 1920s, 1930s, 1940s or 1950s!
Anita's Salon will be hosting a one-of-a-kind Calendar Girl event to be announced shortly so stay tuned!
I'm so inspired by the blossoming cherry trees and sprouting daffodils! The colors and texture make the most amazing photographs. But the window of opportunity is so narrow because they will start to disappear in a couple weeks.

Josh and Amanda totally inspired me and I can't wait for their wedding in April! We had so much fun capturing the story of their fun loving relationship.
It's been a busy time for the Class of 2009 for their senior portraits. These seniors were so much fun...anything goes in our personalized senior sessions...from the library to the railroad tracks! If you're interested in senior portraits, now is the time to call!
This portrait session was taken at Ravenswood Historical Site in Livermore California. I want to share this family portrait session experience because this family is so amazing and I had so much fun. Of course it's always a challenge when I head out of the studio for an on-location portrait session that includes several children. You need a certain mind-set...it's a mix between go with the flow of the energy of the kids, observing the dynamics of the family, capturing the personalities of the individuals while maintaining a spontaneous stream of creative ideas. The energy of the family of six was abundant and loving. I loved how the girls looked after each other and their new little brother and how the parents kept their cool while keeping one eye on each of their little ones. Now, I have two little boys and I'm still trying to figure out how to juggle just the two of them. These parents are so patient...their advice to me was that the biggest transition was from 1 to 2 children...going from 2 to 3 and 3 to 4 were relatively easy. I'll just have to take their word on that because I'm done with two. But I must admit it was a lot of fun being a part of this family for an hour and making these portraits so they can always remember this special time in their lives. Thank you so much for the privilege and wonderful experience!!
Santa's visit was beautiful...We love the warm glow and the sparkle of lights, gifts and amazement. Even little ones that weren't so sure about Santa weren't left out of the experience.
i LOVE it!
